Purchasing the Essential license of Esoteric’s Spine will run you $70 USD, but it will allow you to export into the binary (.skel) format.We’d rather invest our time elsewhere since that buys us very little. Upgrading at this point means also updating the reader and the runtime, and potentially re-exporting and quality assuring all the animation.
